An electronic signature guarantees the integrity of an electronic document, just like a hand-written signature guarantees the integrity of a paper document.

An electronic signature has the same legal value as a hand-written signature, and has since French law no. 2000-230 was passed in March 2000.

There are several advantages to taking the leap and switching to electronic signatures, among them considerable time-saving, reduced processing times, greater flexibility and improved security.

HelloSign also complies with eIDAS regulations. This solution guarantees electronic signatures between citizens of EU member states.

There are 3 levels of signature:

The standard electronic signature

This is electronic data connected to other electronic data, such as a document, and which is used by the signatory to sign: a password, a PIN code or a scanned signature.

The advanced electronic signature

This guarantees the authenticity of the signature and identifies the signatory: it is created using an electronic signature creation solution that can only be used by the signatory.

The qualified electronic signature

This is an advanced electronic signature accompanied by a qualified digital certificate created by a qualified signature creation solution. This solution should come from a trustworthy EU service provider.
